Area Sales Manager APAC

This is an opportunity for a sales professional to build the brand of a Swedish tech company with a unique intellectual property in key Asian markets.

We are looking for a new colleague that will develop and implement our Asia-Pacific strategy. This is an opportunity for a sales professional to build the brand of a Swedish tech company with a unique intellectual property in key Asian markets. 

You would be taking over the responsibility of existing direct customers and prospect new ones, plus support our OEM business in the region and develop our agent and reseller network. This means a lot of mandate, and the need for both securing the short-term sales and managing our progress towards our wanted position. You would oversee the full customer life cycle from lead generation to sales, delivery and operational customer success. 

You’ll report directly to Excillum’s COO and work very close with the sales, product and services team as well as with the company leadership. We believe you bring a lot of sales experience, and also need a solid understanding of how our customers use our technology in their analytical and imaging applications. You will work with 

  • Develop and execute APAC sales planachieve sales target for products and services 
  • Develop agents and resellers in the region, and collaborate with OEM partners’ regional teams 
  • Manage lead generation, regional events, opportunity qualification, tenders, offers, compliance, negotiations 
  • Oversee delivery, customer operational success and life-cycle management of installed base 

Your profile 

  • MSc/PhD in Chemistry/Physics/Material Science or similar 
  • Complex technology sales in APAC region including Japan and/or Korea 
  • Indirect sales experience including agents/reseller development 
  • Ability to travel extensively 
  • Fluent in Englishwith further languages like Japanese or Korean being an advantage
