About the Role
The Head of Hardware Design will lead the development of cutting-edge electronic and mechanical design solutions that enhance the precision and functionality of our X-ray sources. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who leads a team of engineers who translate complex requirements into actionable designs, ensuring products meet both industry standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Hardware Design team, cater for learning and growth and fostering an environment of creativity and collaboration.
- Oversee the full hardware development lifecycle, from conceptualisation to production.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D and operations to align on project goals and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise product performance and reliability.
- Ensure we stay up to date with best practices as well as compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all electronic and mechanical designs.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for candidates who possess a strong technical background and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have:

Solid leadership skills:
- You possess capability to drive results and team engagement with empathy and being open and communicative around complexity and change.
- We believe you have at least five year's experience from leading engineering teams.

Relevant industry experience:
- You know the full product develpment life cycle from concept, design, industrialization to product care.
- You have at least five year's experience from a product development and manufacturing company with complex electronic and mechanical design.
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or Bachelor's degree in combination with relevant experience.
