They make our customers' X-ray systems faster & better with lower cost of operation.
Founded in 2007 by researchers from KTH, Excillum has grown into a global leader in advanced microfocus and nanofocus X-ray sources. Today, our products are used by leading industrial companies, instrument manufacturers and research institutions around the world.
We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen our presence across North America.
About the role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing both existing and new customer relationships within some of the world's most advanced technology industries.
This is a highly strategic and customer-facing role where you will drive business opportunities from first contact to long-term customer success. You will work closely with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to understand customer needs, communicate the value of our solutions and turn opportunities into sustainable business.
You will be part of a global commercial team and collaborate closely with Segment Managers, Product Management and Marketing to build regional growth strategies and strengthen Excillum's market position.
Your responsibilities include:
Driving new business opportunities from lead generation to closed business and customer onboarding
Developing existing accounts and identifying new growth opportunities
Building and executing regional market strategies within target industries and segments
Managing long and complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
Creating accurate forecasts and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
Delivering value-based sales by understanding customer challenges and communicating the business value of our solutions
Supporting customers throughout the full lifecycle, from initial discussions to successful implementation and after-sales structure

About you
We believe you have experience from complex international B2B sales of advanced technology products and solutions.
You are comfortable navigating long sales cycles, managing multiple stakeholders and driving strategic customer discussions. You enjoy understanding technically advanced products and can translate technical capabilities into business value for customers.
To succeed in this role, you likely have at least five years of experience in complex B2B sales, preferably selling high-tech products, systems or solutions to industrial customers. You have worked in OEM sales or similarly complex sales environments, are comfortable navigating international markets and have experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and forecasts, preferably Dynamics. You are fluent in English and hold a university degree in Engineering, Business or a related field, or have gained equivalent experience throughout your career. Experience from metrology, measurement systems or scientific instrumentation is considered a strong advantage

Location and travel
The position is based at Excillum's headquarters in Kista, Stockholm. International travel is required, primarily to the United States and Canada, typically every 8-12 weeks.
