Meet Lars, VP and Head of Research
Hello Lars,
You have recently joined Excillum and now heading the Research Team. How has it been so far?
It has been an interesting, exciting and somewhat confusing time. Going from a position where you really were on top of things and knew almost every detail to a place where you are an amateur is challenging. The warm welcome and support from all employees at Excillum has been fantastic. I am also deeply impressed by the knowledge level and the passion.
As new hire, what strikes you the most when it comes to the Excillum culture?
The culture at Excillum is as far as I have experienced open, inviting and curious. We help each other and there seems to be very little barriers and hierarchy.
You bring a long experience from leading R&D teams, what can people in your team expect from you as manager?
I hope I can bring experience from organizations that have been in similar situations as Excillum, both technical and organizational wise. What works and what doesn't? How can we get the structure that is necessary and at the same time be innovative and curious? My most important task is to support and coach the team to success. Keywords for me are openness, inspiration, having fun and support.
We are opening up for students to do their thesis project with us. Why should they do their project at Excillum?
Since we can offer the coolest and most interesting tasks at the technology edge and you will be guided by experienced supervisors.
Thank you Lars and welcome onboard!
